Jose Coello Alonso was born in Altea (Spain) in 1984. He is the third in a generation of photographers. His grandfather, Pepe Coello, became a photographer in 1939 and his father Diego continued a career in photography. Jose specialises in Advertising, Fashion and Architecture photography.
He currently lives in Bristol (UK) where he operates out of his own studio in the City Centre.
Recognised in the UK under the name Pictureye by Josecoello and as a freelance photographer he is an established contractor for advertising agencies and clients all over the UK and Spain. Artengo, Decathlon Group and Accor Hotels are among many major clients that he has worked with and continues to work alongside. He is a Stocksy United Co-op member, one of the best stock agencies, where he also sells his personal work.
At the age of 19 Jose moved to Barcelona to study photography in The IEFC (Catalonia Institute for Photographic Studies) and The GrisArt photographic School. He specialised in Advertising, Fashion, Portrait, Architecture photography and Post-Production.
In 2009 He was responsible for the studio and digital departments for ENTIJUANA BARCELONA where He gained sufficient experience assisting top level Advertising and Fashion photographers, leading Jose to become a professional figure of his own. Joses hard work and talent were applauded within the company and they still seek his guidance when working within the UK. This invaluable experience working within ENTIJUANA BARCELONA is reflected to this day and is clearly noticable in Joses professionalism and effectiveness when working.
Jose has been recognised within the industry, receiving National Awards such as LUX JUNIOR National Photography Award in 2007 and Quijote de Oro National Professional Photography Award in 2011.
Enthusiam for Photography runs through the blood of the Coello family. Their profound love for working inside the industry gives Jose an incredible amount of pleasure and pride to continue the families ongoing passion.
