My name is Andrew Chittock and I am 57 year old photographer , I have been a freelance photographer ever sense I left the army in 1993. I am base in West Wales in a small sea side town called Aberaeron . I cover a wide selection of photography form weddings and social to commercial and architectural. This covers the cost for me to go away and do, which is my passion editorial photography.
I use Nikon cameras and I have a D3 and two D700 also a D7000 as my back up. I use SB800’s and a SB900.also a flip, Sony action cam and a HD Sony handycam hdr-cx700, for video.
I was in Syria 12 months ago in Azaz and an Alleppo, I still have contacts that can get me into Syria from Turkey to Alleppo. Once I am with the FSA I hope to be able to gain information about targets that’s the U.S. might hit. The problem being he’s been at the right place at the right time, and if I’m not I must be able to get to the targets which had been hit as quick as possible which will mean to have transport waiting for me to take me to the locations. This might mean working with other reporters and combining our efforts and resources. Once you are with the FSA the cost will be very small where the main expense is paying a fixer to get me in.
One major problem which I can see is to getting the footage back to the states which means I have to return to Turkey to transmit or to have a satellite with me which I did not have.

These are my thoughts on this assignment and I am sure they will be lots of stories to tell months I am a in the thick of it. I have picked Alleppo because of a easy access and I know it is very hard to get to Damascus but if you have the funds anything is possible.
